Mountain Gems Organic Sumatra

We discovered this roast several years ago and were blown away at the quality of the beans and the delicious flavour profile. We've tried other roasts and even other roasteries every now and then, but we keep coming back to this one. Javaworks hits it out of the park! I still look forward to that flavour every morning! Kudos to Tom. I had ordered 6 pounds of Sumatra dark roast which ended up stuck in a Canada Post blackhole because of the strike. I contacted the company and Tom quickly arranged a FedEx delivery at no extra cost to me. I had my beans 2 days later. Excellent response thank you so much.

I rarely write reviews, but this particular bag of beans demands attention. For years, I bought Balzac's dark roast as my reliable, beloved favorite—the coffee I always returned to.
This Sumatra has replaced that. It provides a richness that is smoother, cleaner, and avoids any hint of the 'ashiness' or over-roasting sometimes associated with intensely dark beans. It's a truly sophisticated flavor that I crave every morning.
Crucially for those of us who love espresso-based drinks, this coffee's flavour holds up when combined with milk for a perfectly balanced delight.
