I tried the costa rican a while ago and fell in love. I lean towards lighter roasted coffees and ones with more floral/citrus notes usually but this one hits the spot.
I really enjoy this flavour since as it brews it fills the kitchen with the most wonderful scent. The flavour leans into cinnamon more than it does to maple.
I've been buying this one for a while and it doesn't disappoint. I like to blend in just a little non flavoured coffee sometimes to give it a little something extra.
This is a very nice roast with a bold and distinct flavour. The beans are dark and slightly oily. I ground them with flat burrs slightly coarser them filter drip and brewed pourover with a Hario V60 Switch. Even after resting for 10 days this bean outgassed like crazy. The flavour did suggest "earthy", "spicey" and "sweet" to me, but not really "floral". Good mouth feel, and a full bodied texture that is right in my wheelhouse.
The aroma and taste of this blend is outstanding unlike many flavoured teas that smell nice they lack flavour but this one has the flavour to match the aroma. If you like chai and vanilla this one should be on your list.
