Clydesdale Estate was founded in the late 1700s by Dr. Colin McClarty, a British national who came to Jamaica for what he thought would be a short visit but fell in love with the country and decided to stay. It was one of the first estates to plant coffee commercially in Jamaica. Following Dr. McClarty’s example and realizing the excellent quality coffee produced in this area, other farmers ventured into coffee production in the vicinity of Clydesdale Estate.It is from these beginnings that the Clydesdale coffee region evolved. Clydesdale Estate Coffee was first exported in the late 1700’s and because of the exceptional quality of the beans, it has remained an important coffee growing region since. Clydesale combines the perfect and delicate balance of acidity, body and aroma. Its acidity is bright and delicate, its body gentle and velvety. Its aroma is softly penetrating and sweet with floral, spicy, and citric undertones. There is a presence of cocoa undertones in its aftertaste.

Filters fitted and designed for your Hario V60-02 pourover brewer.  Remove oils and sediment from your freshly ground coffee.   Note: remember to wet all paper filters with hot water prior to brewing to remove any taste of paper

Grown high in the mountains of the San Pedro Necta - Finca Aguas Altas lies very close to the Mexican Border.  This lot, from the Gabino Mendez family farm is exposed to cooler temperatures; increasing the timeline for wet fermentation, bringing out fruitier flavours.

Shade grown in the mountains of El Carrizal, using organic processing methods to protect the natural habitat of migratory birds and other wildlife.  Rio Olancho is a cooperative made up of over 60 plantations.  As part of our Direct Trade program, this bean comes from Arturo Colindres' farm in Gualaco.  Arturo is one of the original farmers who helped formed the Rio Olancho Cooperative, bringing together some of the districts finest coffees.
