This unique micro-lot comes from the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil at Fazenda Cachoeira. The region is famous for its dry temperatures and lower humidity - a perfect place to grow high quality coffee!
What makes this coffee unique is its size. Generally, coffee grows as 2 seeds within the coffee cherry. When it is hulled, they are split and we get the traditional coffee bean you are used to seeing. With peaberry; there is only a single seed inside each cherry. There is only a certain percentage of coffee cherries with this characteristic.
In addition, this coffee is also fermented which really brings out the tropical characteristics it features. Our cupping notes on this lovely Brazilian micro-lot are Pineapple and Watermelon!
